Eric Scanlan

Eric Tausilimaugalaga Scanlan, who is of both Samoan and Filipino descent, (half palusami, half dinuguan) was raised in both LA and Hawaii. As a member of a family of musicians and singers, he received plenty of exposure to the performing arts throughout his life. Although Eric failed to make the cut as a Soul Train dancer, he managed to earn a Bachelors degree from Duke University after receiving a full athletic scholarship for football.

Following a long and successful career in medical sales and community activism in Southern California, Eric stepped out of his comfort zone and discovered his love for acting which resulted in him getting cast in a lead role for an independent short film in 2018. Shortly thereafter, Eric appeared in a recurring guest starring role as Natano Reigns in Hawaii Five-0 on CBS.

Since then, Eric has appeared on TV in featured roles on Station 19 (ABC), 9-1-1 Lone Star (FOX), and Obi Wan Kenobi (Disney+)

In addition, Eric has played lead roles in films such as FILI, Dark Senses and Carson. 

​

He has also lent his voice over talents to the Rodriguez & Son podcast, The Callisto Protocol: Helix Station podcast as well as working on the ADR team for Taika Waititi's soon to be releassed project, Next Goal Wins.

Eric has also made several appearances in nationally televised commercials for Walmart, Lowes. Those last two are straight up lies. So was the story about Soul Train.
